Prof. Prosper received his Ph.D. from Manchester in 1980 in Experimental Physics. After post-doctoral work at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, Virginia Tech, and Fermilab, he joined the faculty at FSU in 1993.His research interests include high energy physics, cosmology, advanced analysis methods and Bayesian statistics. For many years he was a member of the Dzero Collaboration at Fermilab. He is now a member of the CMS Collaboration at CERN. Prof. Prosper played an active role in the discovery of the top quark in 1995 by Dzero and its sister Collaboration CDF.
