Ian Hvozdovich
Ian is from Palm Harbor, Florida. He graduated with a Master’s of Accounting Degree with a specialty in taxation. As a teaching assistant during this time, Ian also gave weekly lectures for the Introduction to Financial Accounting course and helped students during office hours. The Master’s of Accounting (MAcc) Program encourages students to sit for the CPA exam while enrolled, and this is a feat Ian has impressively completed before graduating. Ian has expressed his sincere gratitude toward the MAcc program and the University, referring to the many friends, mentors, and opportunities gained while at Florida State. This program and Ian have had a great relationship, as highlighted when Ian received the Student Achievement Award at the annual MAcc banquet. This award is given to a single student each year for excellence and professionalism inside and outside the classroom. His accounting career beyond Florida State University will begin in Tampa as a tax consultant for Deloitte Tax LLP. Ian has stated that his time as a student at Florida State will always be a source of inspiration to strive for the best while working hard for all his aspirations. He also alludes to the possibility of becoming a professor later in his career due to his rewarding experience as a teaching assistant.
