Jiang Li is currently a Ph.D. candidate from the Department of Industrial Engineering in the College of Engineering and High-Performance Materials Institute, Florida State University. His research focuses on two topics. One is exploring the properties and applications of nanocarbon foams. The nanocarbon foam is based on carbon nanotubes. It has a biporous structure, including micro-scale pores and nano-scale pores, and a high porosity up to 0.99. This structure with excellent stability and elasticity makes it available be used in different areas, such as thermal management and water desalination. The other topic is the preparation of flexible thermoelectric materials with high power factor. The target is to increase the efficiency of the organic thermoelectric materials by mixing with conductive fillers.
