Why FSU?

FSU is one of the top research universities in the nation. I wanted to attend FSU to immerse myself in the research-intensive experience FSU has to offer while learning from and working with the nation’s top scholars throughout my doctoral education in Social Work.

Motivation to pursue a graduate degree

I wanted to push myself to understand human experience more to help others.

Importance of research and work

My research and work develop an understanding of youth experiences and how they relate to outcomes. The purpose of my research is to provide information that informs interventions geared toward improving youth health and mental health outcomes.

Accomplishments during graduate career

I am a recipient of the The Graduate School’s Legacy Fellowship.

Career aspirations

My aspirations are to become a professor at a research-intensive university and to mentor and train other aspiring social scientists.
