Hyosoon is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Sport Management at Florida State University (FSU). His primary research interest lies in promoting health and well-being through sports engagement. Under the guidance of his advisor, Dr. Amy Chan Hyung Kim, and with support from the Center for Sport, Health, and Equitable Development (cSHED), which seeks progress through strategic partnerships with community groups, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions, he is focusing on two main objectives: (1) examining the psychological and social outcomes of sport participation, and (2) promoting an effective sport delivery system among underrepresented populations, such as older adults and international students. His research approach combines social epidemiological and transformative marketing perspectives to address these issues.
